Abstract
Appendiceal intussusception is rare and is difficult to diagnose radiographically. Tumors of the appendix are uncommon, also, most tumors are benign. Appendiceal mucocele as the most common causes of intussusception is related to underlying disease. We report the very rare case of two disease entities in an adult of 70-year-old woman. Preoperatively, the full diagnosis was made by ultrasonography and helical spiral CT by means of unique sign of spring-coil shaped intussusception associated with a chicken-drum stick appearance of mucocele induced by a round mucinous cystadenoma of appendix.
